GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE HOTEL

ARTICLE 1 : Application of the general conditions of sale

 

1 - Application of the general conditions of sale

The present terms and conditions of sale apply to the services provided by

the Fer à Cheval hotel. These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made online or by telephone. Any reservation therefore implies the customer's full and unreserved acceptance of these conditions.

 

2 - Capacity

The customer acknowledges having the capacity to contract, i.e. being of legal age and not under guardianship.

 

3 - Reservation / deposit

A reservation is validated after verification of the credit card provided.

For bookings on Friday and Saturday nights and during school vacations, a deposit of 20 euros per room will be taken at the time of booking, non-refundable in the event of cancellation.

For bookings of 3 nights or more, the hotel will deduct a 30% deposit from the credit card provided.

In addition, a pre-authorization file for the balance will be opened and closed after the customer's departure.

For non-refundable stays, the full amount will be deducted at the time of booking.

Rates are quoted in euros, all taxes included, and reservations are payable in euros, regardless of their origin.

Prices are per room for the number of people and dates selected.

The applicable rates are those in force on the day the service is provided. They may be modified in the event of legislative and/or regulatory changes likely to lead to price variations, such as a change in the VAT rate.

Rates may be increased by different taxes depending on the city/country (tourist tax), which the customer undertakes to pay to the hotel.

 

4 - Cancellation conditions

In accordance with article L. 121-20-4 of the French Consumer Code, customers are reminded that they do not have the right of withdrawal provided for in article L. 121-20 of the French Consumer Code.

The conditions of sale for the fare booked specify the terms and conditions for cancelling the booking.

In the event of definitive cancellation, and in accordance with the provisions of article n°1590 of the French Civil Code, "all deposits and guarantees paid remain definitively acquired". The deposit paid in advance will not be reimbursed, nor will it be transferred to another reservation.

In the case of a modifiable or cancellable offer, the customer must inform the hotel at least 48 hours before arrival, which is set for 3 p.m., the time when the room is made available. In the event of a request for modification or cancellation that does not respect this deadline, the hotel will debit the customer, as a flat-rate indemnity, for the amount of the first night on the bank card that was given as a reservation guarantee.

In the event of a no-show (reservation not cancelled - customer not present), the first night will be billed and the remainder of the stay will be automatically cancelled.

If the stay is interrupted (unexpected departure), the customer must pay the full amount of the reservation.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, rooms are available from 3.00 pm on the day of arrival and the customer must leave the room before 12.00 pm on the day the reservation ends. Failure to do so will result in an additional night's charge.

 

5 - Terms of payment

Payment for all services must be made directly to the hotel. The customer provides his/her bank details as a guarantee for the reservation, and the hotel will pre-authorize this bank card for the total amount of the stay. This pre-authorization is cancelled on the day of departure.

On the other hand, in the case of non-refundable bookings, online prepayment (via a secure payment system) is requested by credit card at the time of booking. This online prepayment is referred to as a deposit.

The hotel accepts payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard and Amex) or cash. The hotel does not accept checks.

Any reservation not guaranteed by a valid credit card and covering the total amount of the stay, for a reason attributable to the customer, will result in automatic cancellation of the reservation.

For long stays (more than one week), a weekly invoice will be issued.

 

6 - Relocation

In the event of force majeure, exceptional events or technical problems at the hotel that make the customer's stay impossible, the hotel will do its utmost to find an alternative accommodation.will do its utmost to find alternative accommodation, if possible in a hotel of the same or higher category. The hotel will cover the cost of relocation (extra charge).

The Hotel Le Fer à Cheval cannot be held liable to the customer in the event of non-performance of its obligations resulting from an event of force majeure. Cases of force majeure or fortuitous events are those usually recognized by the jurisprudence of the French Courts and Tribunals.

 

7 - Hotel stay

-In accordance with French regulations, on arrival at the hotel, customers will be asked to show proof of identity in order to verify their origin. If the customer is of foreign origin, he/she must complete a police form.

-The customer accepts and undertakes to use the room in good manners. Any behavior contrary to good morals and public order will lead the hotelier to ask the customer to leave the establishment without any compensation and/or without any reimbursement if payment has already been made.

-The hotel declines all responsibility for theft, loss or damage to guests' belongings during their stay.

-The customer will be held responsible for any damage, deterioration, vandalism or theft that may occur as a result of occupying the premises and/or as a result of the participants for whom he/she is responsible. In such cases, Hotel Le Fer à Cheval will invoice the corresponding costs.

-Only small dogs (less than 10 kg) are accepted at Le Fer à Cheval, with a supplement of 10 euros / night, limited to one pet per room. The hotel requests that pets are never left alone in the room. The guest is responsible for any damage caused by the pet, in particular to the hotel's staff and equipment, as well as to the hotel's guests and, more generally, to any third party.

-The hotel is entirely non-smoking. In the event of non-compliance, the hotel will charge a cleaning fee of 70 euros to the credit card used to guarantee the reservation.

-The customer undertakes to respect the occupancy capacity of the room (maximum number of people per room). If this is not the case, the hotel will charge a supplement per person.

-The customer agrees not to invite any outsiders to his or her room.

-The customer may not bring in drinks or foodstuffs from outside without prior authorization from the hotelier. It is also strictly forbidden to bring cooking equipment into hotel rooms.

-On arrival, the hotelier will give the guest the key to his room for the duration of his stay. Any key not returned to the hotel on departure, or lost, will be billed at 75 euros.

-Hotel Le Fer à Cheval has a number of parking spaces available for guests, which are subject to reservation and a charge. Once a parking space has been reserved, the customer agrees to pay for it even if he/she changes his/her mind and does not use the space.

 

8 - Complaints

All complaints must be sent by registered mail (return receipt requested) to Hôtel Le Fer à Cheval, 11 rue Victor Hugo 14360 Trouville sur Mer, no later than 15 days after the departure date.No claims will be accepted after this deadline.
